Missing: 1 Camera

Yep, while searching for my camera cord I have misplaced the actual camera as well. I know I put it in a safe place. Oh well.


Heading into next week I hope to have 2 small finishes to add to my finishes drawer. And of course I will be joining a lot of others in the IHSW this weekend as well.

Hopeless Blogger....

....am I.

We've had Christmas, entered a new year, and a new school year, seen a sister married,  had drought and 2 now infamous Queensland floods, moved house and fought with dodgy wireless internet (the cost of living a little out of town) since I last wrote.

I am still stitching. I just finished the piece which has all the memories of packing, having all my packing boxes soaked by puddles in the garage, buying new 1s, moving and unpacking, stitched into it. Pictures to follow when I find my camera-computer cable.

So Im still alive :) and will get into a routine of blogging more again.

and now I am working on some cards for my daughters teachers who have been absolutely wonderful this year :)

Quick update

A Challenge, and a new blogger (kind of)

I wanted to tell you a story about a friend of mine, Nat. She is the one who first showed me the link to Heaven and Earth Designs and changed my stitching life for ever and for the better :) Now while I have been collecting charts now (19 and counting lol) she actually has only ever been able to get the freebies. But stitch she does, all gunghoe on 1 project and then when I ask how its going she says 'Oh started a new 1' lol. Now I know we all do this. I myself have a few sitting in a drawer waiting to be finished. But it was such 1 day that  she didnt know what to work on. So I snuck over to the HAED website and RAKed her a chart. A crazy idea? Maybe but I had a plan, which I unveiled to her this morning when she received the chart :) My Challenge to her is if she starts and finishes that chart and also finishes off a small stitch I know is almost done I will buy her (on a sale) the next in the series.

Weekly Update

This weeks stitching included, introducing Comfy Cozy into the rotation, leaving her looking a little wider:-

Now its time to head back to 'The General' for his 10 hours :)

The General

Ok, so I've decided to try a 10 hour rotation like others do and see if it works for me. And maybe a few WIPs that haven't seen the light of day might get some TLC again. (Or then again it could be a lot more starts :P). No, really I've found a few WIPs that I really want to work on between my HAEDs.

 So my first 10 hours, which took just over a week to complete, was on The General, to get him properly started. And this is what he looks like now

It kind of pulled at my heartstrings to move on to Comfy Cozy but I know she really needs some work done as well since I lost my stitchy bug on her a few months ago. For some reason I just didn't feel like finishing the first page so now I'm starting the second page anyway :)
